The Public Service Commission (PSC) has said that the 41st BCS written test may be held in November. However, the exact date and schedule will be announced later, the PSC said in a statement.
The results of the 41st BCS Preliminary Examination have been released on Sunday (August 1) at noon. 21 thousand 56 candidates have passed it. The PSC has given this information in a notification regarding the results.
Earlier, it was not possible to publish the results of the 41st BCS Preliminary Examination in four months due to Corona.
As the incidence of corona decreased, PSC took the preliminary examination of 41st BCS on March 19 this year. Although there are concerns about how the exam will be held in Corona, whether there will be any problem or not, the preliminary examination of the 41st BCS was taken in 8 divisional cities of the country following the proper hygiene rules. That test took four months. But due to various reasons including Corona, it has not been possible for PSC to publish the results yet.
PSC published the notification of 41st BCS on 26 November 2019. It called for the appointment of 2,135 officers to various posts.
According to the notification, most will be taken in the education cadre. 915 people will be recruited in this cadre. Of these, 905 lecturers will be taken in BCS education and 10 in technical education department. After education more recruitment will be done in administration cadre. 323 people will be appointed in the administration.
100 people will be taken in police, 110 assistant surgeons in BCS health and 30 assistant dental surgeons. In the 41st BCS, 25 will be recruited from abroad, 23 from Ansar, 25 from the Ministry of Finance, 25 from the post of Assistant Accountant General (Audit and Accounts), 60 from the Assistant Tax Commissioner (Tax), 23 from the Assistant Commissioner (Customs and Excise) and 8 from the Assistant Registrar. In the Department of Statistics and Information Management, 12 Statistical Officers, 4 Assistant Mechanical Engineers, 1 Assistant Traffic Superintendent, 1 Assistant Equipment Controller, 20 Assistant Engineers (Civil) and 3 Assistant Engineers (Mechanical) will be recruited.
In the Ministry of Information, there are 22 Assistant Directors or Information Officers or Research Officers, 11 Assistant Directors (Programs), 5 Assistant Message Controllers, 9 Assistant Radio Engineers, 38 Assistant Engineers in BCS Public Health Engineering in the Local Government Department and 20 Assistant Forest Conservators. Two Assistant Postmaster Generals, 15 BCS Fisheries, 6 Livestock, 173 Agricultural Extension Officers and 6 Scientific Officers and 4 Assistant Controllers of BCS Commerce will be appointed. There will be 4 Family Planning Officers, 6 Assistant Food Controllers and 2 Assistant Conservation Engineers in BCS Food, 36 Assistant Engineers (Civil) in BCS Public Works and 15 Assistant Engineers.
