Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (An Enterprise of Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh) invites application from qualified professionals for the following post:
Name of Post: Executive Director (Planning & Design)
Basic Salary and Grade: TK- 149,000/- (Grade-02)
No. of Post: 01 (one)
Age Limit: Maximum 60 (sixty) Years as on 18/03/2020
Duties and Responsibilities:
Executive Director (P & D) shall act as a member of the Management Team of the Company to assist the Managing Director for overall coordination of company’s management, planning, development and preparation of the project profiles for the electricity generation system, ensuring the compliances of Laws, Rules and Regulations for Good Governance. He/She will be also responsible for supervision of technical studies, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of the company and will assist the Managing Director for negotiating financing issues with donors/development partners.
Required Qualifications and Experiences:
a) At least B.Sc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from any university recognized by Govt. & UGC. No third Division/Class at any stage of the academic career shall be acceptable. Candidates passed in the grading system must possess at least a CGPA 4.0 on a scale of 5.0 and a CGPA 2.75 on a scale of 4.0. Candidates passed in the conventional system (class/division) must possess at least 2nd class/division.
b) At least 05 (five) years working experience in the senior managerial position in the relevant field (Superintendent Engineer or equivalent).
c) At least 20 (twenty) years working experience as Assistant Engineer & above position in large power utilities of which 5 (five) years working experience in power project/design & planning/operation & maintenance of power plant or in the relevant field. Employees from generation/transmission /distribution utilities may get preference.
d) Must be able to demonstrate skill in the analysis and preparation of Development Project Proposal (DPP), Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project Management.
e) Must demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.
f) Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Total Quality Management (TQM), Preventive Maintenance and Corporate Governance.
g) Must have strong communication skill in Bengali & English (written & oral) including computer literacy.
Compensation Package:
a) Basic Salary, House Rent Allowance, Medical Benefits, Bonus, Gratuity and other Fringe Benefits will be given as per the pay structure and CPGCBL (Employees) Service Rules-2017;
b) Income Tax has to be paid by the employee.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The Executive Director (P & D) will be appointed on contract basis initially for 02 (Two) years or up to the age of 62 (Sixty two) years whichever is earlier. The contract period of service is renewable for further period based on satisfactory performances and subject to the approval of the Board up to the age limit of 62 (Sixty two) years;
2. Interested candidates have to submit application along with following documents:
a) CV with cover Letter signed by applicant;
b) Photocopies of all educational certificates and experience certificate including training and other activities.
c) Photocopies of National ID card & Nationality Certificate from City Corporation/Pourasava/Union Parishad;
d) 03 (three) copies of recent PP size photograph;
e) MICR Bank Draft/Pay order of Taka-1000 (One thousand) in favor of “Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL).”
3. Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous or Corporate bodies must apply through proper channel;
4. Candidates passed from foreign university(s)/institute(s) have to submit certificate of equivalent result from the competent authority;
5. Only short-listed candidates will be invited for the interview;
6. CPGCBL reserves the right to cancel any or all application or this appointment process without assigning any reason there of.
